Frequently Asked Questions
Can I send you cards to fix for me?
We appreciate the request but we do not offer a card cleaning service or submission service. Our goal is to teach you how to work on your own collectible cards through our card cleaning demo videos and customer service. No one will take care of your stuff the way you will and we are here to support and help you learn the trade of cleaning and restoring.
Do you get any pushback from grading companies after cleaning cards?
This is a great question. Through my years of collecting and cleaning I have never had any issues. My products are not designed to stay on the card or to hide anything. They are designed to clean the surface, shine the surface, or remove dings and dents. I use the word restoration because I am doing everything I can to get the card to look like it did that came out of the factory. Thousands of collectors trust my formulas and I will never get risky and put collectors in a bad position. I would never promote cutting your card, adding color or anything sketchy or risky. I take this responsibility seriously. I would never cut any corners figuratively or literally.
If I need some advice can you help me?
Absolutely, I'm all in. I would say 80% of my job is customer service. Please look at me as a partner. When you are a customer of mine you're part of the family and I will offer advice and assistance. You can email me through the website or contact me on Instagram anytime.
Do you have a video for my card issue?

When should I use the card cleaning spray?
Over time many cards develop heavy fingerprints, oils, age spots, and specks on the surface of the card. Microfiber can only go so far. Apply the spray to a cotton square or a microfiber and you can safely remove these types of surface residuals.
Card spray can also be used to help relieve creases and dents on a variety of paper cards.
Please visit the best practices page for specific advice by card type. Rule #1 - always practice on base cards.
When should I use the polish?
Use the polish when you have a card that needs to be shined back up. The polish will make a modern era cards such as Chrome, Best, Prizm, Optic, Mosaic... cards like that shine like new. If you find that you have a little surface blemish on a card, the polish is also good at reducing those or if they are light you may be able to remove them.

Can I use a Kurts Card Care on non-sports cards such as Pokémon, Fortnite, Yu-Gi-Oh, Marvel, etc?
As long as the card has a protective clear coat that is shiny and reflective, and you use as instructed, you will not damage the card. Through our experience many non-gaming cards are from the modern era and most of them do have a shiny protective layer on the front and back. If you're not sure shoot us a message and we'll be happy to advise.
